Trying Something New…

For Windows iTunes users, there’s a program that allows you to post the most recent song played to your weblog - BlogTunes. If this ends up working properly, you, the inquisitive reader, will be able to track my listening habits well enough to stalk me. In theory.

Update: Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get BlogTunes to work with TypePad. The trackback system doesn’t work quite like it does in MT. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

    hi. i’m one of the two people that have worked on blogtunes. i’m just curious as to what the problem is exactly. any specific errors?

    The trouble is a little hard to explain, mainly because I’m not sure exactly where it’s going wrong. After downloading, unzipping, editing blogTunes.properties, and running the program, it doesn’t appear to do anything. As far as I can tell, the settings should be correct for it to at least be trying to send a trackback ping, but no information shows up on the GUI (nor, obviously, the website). In fact, the GUI doesn’t even appear to be pulling any of the settings from the blogTunes.properties file (such as the iTunes library location).
