Snowfall

It snowed today. Thankfully, I was sound asleep in my warm, comfy full-size bed. Till 2:00pm. I love Saturdays.

But I did wake up long enough to take some pictures of the beautiful stuff, as you can see to your left.

Busy Schedule

Well… how much can one possibly do in a week? After 7 full design projects, 3 corporate meetings, 8 phone conferences, 4 looming deadlines, and 12 late nights, I’m finally beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Ironically, 6 of those projects are still in full swing, and the 7th is currently in the balance. “Tune in next week to find out if he’s alive, folks!”

Winding Down

Well, Christmas has come, and is fading away rather quickly. Lots of food, fun, presents, and laughs were spread about, in each and every family around the world— ah, heck. It’s been a cool day, s’all I need to say.

And yes, my lil’ niece is the best looking kid ever born. Hands down. No question. And don’t give me those looks, as you haven’t seen her yet. :)

Introducing Boo

I’ve a niece!!!

Little Elyssa Emily, born on December 14th, to my beautiful sister and her awesome husband. YAY!

The Joy of Christmas

Christmas is near… and what better way to celebrate than by gift-giving! Therefore, I propose we all buy presents for me. I’ve posted my wishlist so that you all know exactly what I want and where to find it. Happy Holidays!

(This bit of sarcasm comes from much stress and anguish over buying other people gifts this season. Twice I’ve already had to return something someone else bought someone — and those were the only two presents I was able to buy. Sheesh.)

Odds and Ends

Well! I’m moved into the new place (with my lovely sis and brother-in-law), and it’s really nice! My room’s bigger, with more furniture, and looking good. Methinks I need to do laundry, though, as I’ve got quite a few articles of clothing strewn about the room (giving it that nice “lived-in” feel).

In other news, my car’s prepped for winter/spring, all taken care of (yay!), and the drive to work is actually a bit shorter from the new home. Work is the same, though, so here’s hoping that’ll change soon ;-) The holidays always make things interesting though, mainly during the Company Annual Christmas Party. Mwheheheh…

In film news, my career has yet to take off (and depending on when you ask me, I’ll probably be writing either an action/comedy, a war drama, or an artsy experimental script — I like variety), but the new movies coming out (or already released) look great! Ocean’s 11, A Beautiful Mind, and of course, Lord of the Rings. Things are looking good.

New to the Neighborhood

Well, I’m finally moved into the new house, which is quite nice. I’m looking forward to all the new furniture that my room now requires, although the style of this room is very different than its predecessor. If you know of any really good (CHEAP) furniture stores, leave a comment!

Ch-ch-changes

Boy, when times change, they really change, and quickly, without warning. I’ve postponed the renovation of my bedroom, due to the fact that we’re moving within two weeks — we have to be out of here by next Friday. I haven’t even seen the interior of the new place (I’m a mere roommate, moving to the music of my sister and her husband), but it’s supposed to be pretty nice.

Also, while I’m still pursuing film as my all-time goal, I’m also looking into some writing positions, one volunteer, but another hopefully doing film reviews in the local paper. We’ll see what happens.

And, with Christmas rolling around, there’s a lot to do with 24seven (the youthgroup I help out at). Ya gotta love life.

Microwaveable Madness

“Cook on High for 2 minutes, then turn over and cook for 1 1/2 minutes. Next, rotate plate, turn back over, cook for another 2 minutes. Let stand 1 minute. Cook another 1 1/2 minutes.”

I say just throw it in the nuke and hit “Meat” 5 times.

Redecorating Details

Well, Stage One of the renovation of my room is complete. I’ve flipped the door to the other side of the doorframe, making it feel almost as if I was living in a closet. I’ve also hung up this, which I finally got (and promptly framed). Woohoo!

Now, for Stage Two — A new bed.
